MY CANDY HEART VALENTINE
So Lively, fresh and umami-driven sake, balanced with a slight sweetness from green granny smith apples and dried kiwi chips. It has a savory aroma with hints of rice pudding and cured Meyer lemons. It floats on the palate like a cloud of marshmallows. It feels pure and friendly to drink, like new relationships! Nohonsakari chooses to use the famous Miyamizu water from the Hyogo prefecture. Best known for making Sake with muscle! For all you ladies, this is the guy that will sweep you off your feet.
It’s a unique style blended with aged sake and Nama-Chozo draft sake. What does that mean? In short, most Sake isn’t aged, but this one includes some from their own storage, which is what Chozo is; stored Sake. Nama-Chozo- shu, and Nama-Zume-shu are only pasteurized once either after or before maturation.
The name of this sake translates into “Snow Grass”. This Nihonshu (Sake) has nothing to do with the winter season, just that the style is perfect to enjoy during cozy moments. Valentine’s anyone? Brought to by the massive “ BOSU” of Japanese imported Sake, Mutual Trading Company into the US for a less than the Japanese Yen… 350ml for $7
